How does the incorporation of a mood meter affect a 3rd grade boy's use of emotional vocabulary and their understanding of its value?
My research focuses on how the incorporation of a mood meter may affect a 3rd grade boy's use of emotional vocabulary and their understanding of its value. The boys and I will spend time together over several weeks learning about the mood meter, practicing how to use it and spending time organizing/plotting various emotional vocabulary words. With a pre/post assessment and reflective surveys, we will begin to see if we have an impact. This research will provide both the boys and myself insight into a social emotional curriculum we will soon be piloting in the Lower School.
