Over the past decade, St. Christopher’s has become a global leader in the education of boys. As a school, we have participated in two major International Boys’ Schools Coalition (IBSC) research projects on boys, one centering on pedagogy and the other focusing on relationships. The results of this work have been published in “Reaching Boys, Teaching Boys: Strategies that Work—and Why” and “For Whom the Boy Toils: The Primacy of Relationship in Boys’ Learning”—both authored by Michael Reichert and Richard Hawley.

More recently, St. Christopher’s hosted the 20th Annual IBSC Conference, “Brother to Brother: Looking In, Reaching Out,” during which we welcomed more than 500 delegates from all over the world to share their thoughts and experiences in educating boys.

By articulating our knowledge in best practices for boys, we hope to help others adopt the strategies we know to be so effective in helping create the confident, principled leaders who will shape our world.
